Eataly North America is seeking a skilled Host to join our team at Eataly Don Mills. As a Host, you will be the first and last point of contact with our guests, responsible for greeting, seating, and saying goodbye to guests while maintaining the flow of the restaurant during service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the general functioning of the dining room during meal service, relaying information to managers and service personnel.
  • Maintain an accurate, fair, and up-to-date waitlist and seating chart using a computerized system.
  • Take and manage reservations in restaurants that allow reservations.
  • Balance the guest flow among the service stations, taking into account requests for a particular table or server depending on availability.
  • Inform guests when tables are ready, escort them to table, provide menus, and introduce the server.
  • Assist with the duties of servers and bus persons as needed to maintain service effectiveness and efficiency.
Requirements
  • 1+ year of experience in a high-volume restaurant.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
