This role will involve working closely with our project managers and superintendents to plan, execute, and deliver projects safely, efficiently, and effectively. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate project planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Support team leads in scheduling, subcontractor management, site meetings, material management, etc.
  • Track quantities, job costing, progress billing, issue RFI, coordination and tracking of extra works.
  • Work with project managers and superintendents to coordinate site activities and tasks.
  • Order, track, and allocate job-specific materials and manage/equip equipment rentals.
  • Develop job-specific work packs to aid in project team execution of work.
  • Assist in day-to-day tasks both in the office and field.
  • Support daily site level activities as required.
  • Assist with change management as projects progress.
  • Actively participate in required safety deliverables and promote a positive safety culture.

Requirements:

  • A university degree in Civil/Mining Engineering or other discipline with appropriate work experience is preferred.
  • Experience in Heavy Civil Construction, drilling, geotechnical, etc., would be considered an asset.
  • A valid Class 5 Driver's License is required.
  • AutoCAD experience would be considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with PowerApps to initiate material and equipment movement between jobs.
  • The ability to work as part of a construction team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A professional attitude, punctual, assertive, and personable.
  • A high level of sound and independent judgment and reasoning.
  • The ability to respond in pressure situations with a calm demeanor and high sense of urgency.
  • The ability to travel throughout the Maritimes to support various projects.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook).
