Occupational Therapist

St. Boniface Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team.
Job SummaryThe Occupational Therapist will collaborate with clients to assess, intervene, and follow-up on occupational performance goals, promoting healthy lifestyles, preventing illness and disability, and supporting quality client care.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with clients to identify and address occupational performance goals
- Develop and implement interventions to support client goals
- Conduct assessments and follow-up on client progress
- Work collaboratively with other disciplines to provide comprehensive care
- Stay up-to-date with continuing professional development, research, and quality improvement initiatives
- Recent and relevant clinical experience preferred
- Entry-to-practice academic credential in Occupational Therapy from an accredited Canadian university program or equivalent
- Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Manitoba (COTM) required
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training requirements in accordance with Employer policy
- Membership in the Manitoba Society of Occupational Therapists (MSOT) and the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT) preferred
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work cooperatively with other disciplines
- Demonstrated professional judgment and initiative
- Ability to perform both independently and as a team member
- Knowledge and understanding of evidence-based practice
