Job Title: Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting the health and well-being of our clients.

Job Summary

The Occupational Therapist will work collaboratively with clients to assess, intervene, and follow up on occupational performance goals. You will design and implement services to support healthy lifestyles, prevent illness and disability, and promote health.

Responsibilities
  • Assess client needs and develop individualized plans to achieve occupational performance goals
  • Implement interventions and follow up on client progress
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance client care
  • Stay up-to-date with continuing professional development and best practices in occupational therapy
Requirements
  • Recent and relevant clinical experience preferred
  • Entry-to-practice academic credential in Occupational Therapy from an accredited Canadian university program or the approved equivalent
  • Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Manitoba (COTM) with the incumbent's name entered in the practicing register or in the provisional register as an examination candidate
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with the Employer policy

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work cooperatively with other disciplines
  • Knowledge and understanding of evidence-based practice
