Thoar Mining Management Ltd is seeking an experienced Maintenance Operations Manager to oversee the maintenance and operations of our mining site. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our equipment and facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Supervision: Supervise and oversee a team of millwrights and welders to ensure the effective execution of maintenance activities.
- Maintenance Planning and Scheduling: Plan, schedule, and coordinate maintenance activities to ensure minimal downtime and optimal equipment performance.
- Asset Management: Oversee the management of assets, including inventory levels, maintenance records, and contractor management.
- Quality and Safety: Ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures, and that all employees adhere to site safety protocols.
- Communication and Collaboration: Facilitate effective communication and collaboration with other departments, including operations, procurement, and maintenance.
- Education and Certifications: Journeyperson Certificate of Qualification from the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship & Trade Certification Commission as a Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic, Journeyperson Welder/CWB certified, or Mechanical Engineering Degree with specific site experience on a mine site surface or underground.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in maintenance and production in the industrial/mining industry, with experience in mills with pumps, belt systems, crushing and milling circuits, and infrastructure.
- Skills and Abilities: Strong mechanical aptitude, knowledge of commonly used software packages, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to manage tight deadlines.
