Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in the care and treatment of patients with respiratory conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care to patients with a range of conditions, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, and pneumonia.
  • Conduct pulmonary function tests and interpret results to diagnose and monitor respiratory conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in respiratory care.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related field.
  • Current registration with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT).
  • Experience in a hospital or clinical setting is an asset.
  • Certificate of Registry from the CSRT - R.R.T.
  • Criminal record check, immunization records, and vulnerable sector check.
