Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in the care and treatment of patients with respiratory disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care to patients with a range of conditions, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, and pneumonia.
  • Conduct pulmonary function tests and interpret results to diagnose and monitor respiratory conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care and support to patients and their families.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in respiratory care to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related field.
  • Current registration with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT).
  • Experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting is an asset.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
