Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Generalist to join our team at MMJ Hotel Housekeeping and Janitorial Services Inc. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing strategic support to our management team and ensuring the effective implementation of our human resources policies and programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruitment and Talent Management
    • Coordinate the recruitment process for all job openings, including job postings, candidate screening, and interview scheduling.
    • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
    • Manage the onboarding process for new employees, including orientation, training, and benefits enrollment.
  • Employee Relations and Engagement
    • Provide guidance and support to management on employee relations matters, including performance management, conflict resolution, and employee communications.
    • Develop and implement employee engagement strategies to improve morale, motivation, and productivity.
    • Conduct regular employee surveys to gauge job satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.
  • HR Operations and Administration
    • Manage HR systems, including payroll, benefits, and performance management software.
    • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
    • Provide administrative support to the HR department, including data entry, reporting, and record-keeping.
  • Training and Development
    • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
    • Identify training needs and develop training plans to address gaps in employee skills and knowledge.
    • Collaborate with management to develop and implement performance management plans.
  • Compliance and Risk Management
    • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including employment standards, health and safety, and human rights.
    • Identify and mitigate risks associated with HR practices and policies.
    • Develop and implement procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience
    • Minimum 1 year of experience in human resources, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Proficiency in HR systems and software.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
