Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Safely: Operate a semi-trailer truck to transport goods and materials, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Load and Unload: Load and unload goods from the truck, ensuring accurate and efficient handling.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and maintenance on the truck to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Communication: Relay information to central dispatch and receive updates on cargo information, hours of service, and fuel consumption.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, and fuel consumption.
Requirements
  • Class 1/1F/A Licence: Possess a valid Class 1/1F/A Licence for semi-trailer trucks.
  • Experience: Previous experience as a truck driver is an asset.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent position with a variable schedule, requiring 40 to 60 hours of work per week. The work environment is primarily outdoors, with occasional indoor work in a warehouse or terminal setting.
