Job Title: Accountant

Location: Western Canada

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will assist the Controller in managing all financial aspects of the company's corporate operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in month-end procedures, expensing prepaids, intercompany invoicing, AR reporting, and booking accruals.
  • Prepare month-end summary documents and assist the Controller with month-end closings and review with operations personnel.
  • Manage and reconcile balance sheet accounts and review them for accuracy.
  • Consult and collaborate with other members of the company to troubleshoot issues and identify potential improvements.
  • Assist the equipment department with posting of hours.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a 4-year degree in Business, Marketing, or similar.
  • Class 5 Drivers License required.
  • Experience within the road construction industry considered an asset.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in finance/business development.

Working Conditions:

The majority of work is performed in an indoor setting and may include a combination of sitting, standing, walking, computer use, and exposure to blue light.
