Corporate Reporting Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Corporate Reporting Specialist to join our team in Calgary. The successful candidate will be responsible for sustaining and improving critical and complex sets of accounting and reporting functions, as well as supporting the Corporate Reporting team's activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and coordinate detailed accounting and reporting activities to ensure rapid and accurate execution
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to provide information into the accounting and reporting process or require its output
  • Perform journal entries and reconciliations, and prepare external financial disclosures
  • Prepare financial analysis on monthly and quarterly data, and assess and research implications of significant financial transactions
  • Identify, analyze, and reconcile inconsistent information, and recommend adjustments where necessary
  • Identify and analyze possible improvements to processes, and implement selected solutions
  • Ensure financial reporting is in compliance with US GAAP, tax, or securities regulation as applicable, and SOX
  • Address and respond to queries from auditors and internal reviewers
Requirements:
  • CPA designation
  • 3 years relevant experience
  • Knowledge of US GAAP requirements, desirable
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to set and meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
