About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at DAY/NIGHT LIQUOR INC. as part of our operations team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff Management: Manage and supervise office and volunteer staff to ensure efficient day-to-day operations.
  • Merchandise and Services: Determine the merchandise and services to be sold, and locate, select, and procure merchandise for resale.
  • Marketing Strategies: Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote our products and services.
  • Recruitment and Supervision: Recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers to ensure a high-performing team.
  • Customer Service and Store Environment: Evaluate customer service and store environments to ensure a positive experience for our customers.
  • Operations Management: Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Security and Safety: Ensure basic security clearance and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Personal Suitability: Demonstrate flexibility, team player, and reliability in your work.
  • Green Job: Contribute to positive environmental outcomes through your duties and responsibilities.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Willing to relocate
  • Relocation costs covered by employer
  • Basic security clearance
  • Flexibility, team player, and reliability
  • Work Term: Permanent
  • Work Language: English
  • Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
