Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Guard to join our team at Paladin Security. As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our clients and their properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to clients and visitors, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Site Monitoring: Monitor site visitors, cameras, and alarm systems to ensure safety and access in accordance with site policies and procedures.
  • Emergency Response: Attend and investigate security alarms and emergencies in a timely and professional manner, providing support and liaising with emergency personnel as needed.
  • Patrols and Inspections: Conduct proactive patrols to ensure safety and address policy breaches, noting any concerns and taking appropriate action.
  • Crisis Management: De-escalate crisis situations, provide support, and liaise with emergency personnel, including police, fire, and paramedic resources.
  • Crowd Control: Exercise crowd control and evict trespassers, ensuring the safety of clients and visitors.
  • Reporting: Write clear and detailed reports, including incident, emergency, liability, and day-to-day reports.
  • First Aid and Medical Response: Provide first aid and medical response when required to any person(s).
  • Communication: Utilize two-way radios and computer applications to communicate site activities and respond to emergencies.

Requirements:

  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Observational and Active Listening Skills: Strong observational and active listening skills.
  • Customer Service Skills: Excellent customer service skills.
  • Decision-Making: Ability to make immediate decisions while maintaining composure in emergency response situations with minimal supervision.
  • Schedule Flexibility: Must have a flexible schedule (days, evenings, nights, weekends).
  • Positive Attitude: Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work well with others in order to achieve collective goals.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to walk 20/30km and stairs.
