Memory Care Support Specialist

**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Memory Care Attendant to join our team at Seasons Retirement Communities. As a Memory Care Attendant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents with dementia and cognitive impairment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide person-centered care services to residents, including medication administration, ensuring professionalism, dignity, and compassion in every interaction.
- Assist with activity programs, housekeeping tasks, and laundry as assigned, promoting a safe and secure environment for residents and staff.
- Respond to resident medical, physical, and emotional needs in collaboration with the Memory Care Manager and Health and Wellness Manager.
- Perform set-up, serving, and tear-down services for daily meal services, and assist residents with walking to and from the dining room and eating.
- Commit to making every interaction positive and meaningful, promoting a person-centered approach to care and effective interpersonal relationships with residents and co-workers.
**Requirements:**
- Covid-19 vaccination is mandatory.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Current Safe Food Handler's certification.
- Enrolled in the Alberta Health Care Aide (HCA) Directory (applicable to Alberta applicants only).
- Empathy and compassion for the needs of the elderly, with a specific focus on individuals with Alzheimer's and dementia.
- Ability to communicate effectively, following written and verbal instructions.
- Strong ability to organize and prioritize workload throughout scheduled shifts.
- Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy in dealing with residents, team members, and guests.
