Job Description

The Accelerated Financial Planning Career Program at TD Wealth is a comprehensive training program designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed as a Financial Planner. This program provides on-the-job training through rotations in multiple departments, allowing you to gain a deep understanding of the financial planning process and develop your skills in areas such as sales and service support, financial planning and advice, and client relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-level sales and service support to TD Wealth Financial Planners
  • Assist Financial Planners in their daily business activities
  • Complete discovery meetings to gather financial information from clients
  • Manage sales pipeline leads and prepare for and/or engage with clients on outbound sales calls
  • Build knowledge of the business, competitive landscape, and economic/market trends and issues
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Graduating in 2024 with an undergraduate degree
  • Working towards QAFPTM certification, PFP certification, IQPF certification (Quebec), or CFP certification
  • CSC certification would be an asset
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Business, finance, and quantitative skills
  • Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and maintain attention to detail
  • Good foundation in business acumen, problem-solving skills, and analytical capabilities
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Experience in financial modeling
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Proactive mindset to take initiative
  • Effective teamwork and collaboration skills
