Job Summary

The Assistant Manager will be responsible for evaluating daily operations, monitoring staff performance, and planning and organizing daily operations. This role will also involve supervising staff, training staff, and determining the type of services to be offered and implementing operational procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate daily operations and make recommendations for improvement
  • Monitor staff performance and provide feedback and coaching
  • Plan and organize daily operations, including setting staff work schedules and ensuring health and safety regulations are followed
  • Supervise staff and provide guidance and support as needed
  • Determine the type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures
  • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to staff
  • Organize and maintain inventory and ensure that supplies are ordered and received in a timely manner
  • Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies
  • Participate in marketing plans and implementation
  • Leading/instructing individuals and addressing customers' complaints or concerns
  • Provide customer service and ensure that customers receive excellent service
Requirements
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Working Conditions

The Assistant Manager will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and will be required to work under pressure. The role will also involve standing for extended periods and handling heavy loads.
