Job Title: Assistant Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at Alberta Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating daily operations, monitoring staff performance, and planning and organizing daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate daily operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
  • Monitor staff performance and provide feedback and coaching as needed
  • Plan and organize daily operations to meet business objectives
  • Set staff work schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels
  • Supervise staff and provide guidance and support as needed
  • Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures
  • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to staff
  • Organize and maintain inventory and ensure accurate tracking
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed and maintain a safe working environment
  • Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies
  • Participate in marketing plans and implementation
  • Leading/instructing individuals and providing guidance and support as needed
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns and provide excellent customer service
  • Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations to meet business objectives

Requirements:

  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle heavy loads
