Job Title: Assistant Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at Alberta Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating daily operations, monitoring staff performance, and planning and organizing daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate daily operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
  • Monitor staff performance and provide feedback and coaching as needed
  • Plan and organize daily operations to meet business objectives
  • Set staff work schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels
  • Supervise staff and provide guidance and support as needed
  • Train staff on new procedures and policies
  • Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures
  • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to staff
  • Organize and maintain inventory and ensure adequate stock levels
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed and maintain a safe working environment
  • Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies
  • Participate in marketing plans and implementation
  • Leading/instructing individuals and teams
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns and provide excellent customer service
  • Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations

Requirements:

  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a supervisory or management role
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
