Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team at the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph in Canada. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients, enabling them to maintain their independence and dignity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring their personal hygiene and comfort.
  • Medication Administration: Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals, maintaining accurate records and ensuring client safety.
  • Housekeeping and Cleaning: Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients.
  • Companionship: Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, engaging in activities that promote social interaction and well-being.
  • Meal Preparation: Prepare and serve nutritious meals, considering clients' dietary needs and preferences.
  • Light Exercise: Assist clients with regular exercise, such as walking, to promote physical health and mobility.
Requirements
  • Certification: Possess a Personal Support Worker Certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in a related field, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Language: Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
