Villa Marconi Long Term Care Centre is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Informatics Manager to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing the information technology and compliance related to resident care.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of informatics systems and processes to ensure data integrity and efficient data collection.
- Develop and implement education and training programs for staff on RAI-MDS 2.0, RAPS, subscale outcome measures, quality indicators, and reports.
- Coordinate the certification process for AIS and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop processes that ensure data quality and timely completion of assessments.
- Establish and maintain data quality processes to evaluate MDS coding accuracy and its timely completion.
- Participate in the development of the annual Quality Improvement Plan and progress report.
- Lead the Nursing Restorative program and mentor and coach Nursing Restorative Therapists.
- Orient new staff to the philosophy, policy, and criteria of Nursing Restorative Care.
- Interpret legislative requirements and monitor compliance to standards through continuous quality improvement activities.
- Counsel staff in areas of non-compliance, inappropriate, and unprofessional behavior.
- Assist with the completion of staff probationary and annual performance reviews.
- Registered health professional licensed under the Health Disciplines Act registered with a regulatory authority in a Canadian jurisdiction.
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge and experience with adult education strategies/facilitation.
- Ability to identify training needs of the team and individuals.
- Proficient computer skills and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work with and relate to interdisciplinary team members and other internal stakeholders.
- Knowledge of RAI-MDS – AIS certified as RAI Educator.
- Skills and knowledge in trending and analyzing data.
- Knowledge of Quality Improvement.
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience in a long-term care setting.
- Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience desired.
