Director, Professional Practice

At Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO), we are seeking a visionary leader to drive the development and implementation of innovative practices that promote clinical excellence and academic practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of strategic plans to promote health professional clinical excellence and academic practice.
  • Collaborate with Professional Practice Leaders to ensure ongoing excellence in evidence-based care, research, program evaluation, and teaching.
  • Build and maintain relationships across the organization to foster an innovative, accountable, evidence-informed, and outcome-focused culture.
  • Manage relationships with external partners to advance seamless care delivery.
  • Develop and implement strategies to support health professional practice, clinical informatics, and the delivery of quality patient care.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 7 years of clinical experience, preferably in a complex healthcare environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate, motivate, and present to staff at all levels.
  • Robust understanding of hospital operations and experience in monitoring global trends within the industry.
