About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Courier Delivery Driver to join our team at Courier Guys. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for delivering and picking up messages, parcels, and other items by hand, as well as operating and driving automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver and Pick Up Items: Safely transport and deliver messages, parcels, and other items by hand, ensuring timely and efficient service to our customers.
  • Operate Vehicles: Drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Provide Customer Service: Offer exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Manage Inventory: Keep accurate records of items received and delivered, ensuring that all inventory is properly accounted for and that customers receive their items in a timely manner.
  • Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods from vehicles, taking care to prevent damage and ensure efficient delivery.
  • Sort Packages: Sort packages for delivery, ensuring that they are properly labeled and ready for transport.
  • Follow Directions: Follow directions and read maps to ensure efficient and safe delivery of items.
  • Record Trip Information: Record trip information, including vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any problems encountered during delivery.
Requirements
  • Class 5/5F/G Licence: Possess a valid Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks, and other 2-axle vehicles).
  • Transportation Experience: Have experience in transportation, including local, regional, provincial/territorial, and national routes.
  • Attention to Detail: Possess strong attention to detail, ensuring accurate and efficient delivery of items.
  • Physical Demands: Be able to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Availability: Be available to work a variety of shifts, including overtime, as required.
