Job Title: Delivery Truck Driver

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Delivery Truck Driver to join our team at Courier Guys.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and picking up messages, parcels, and other items by hand, operating and driving automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and have a valid Class 5/5F/G Licence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver and pick up messages, parcels, and other items by hand
  • Operate and drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Accept payment or invoices for items delivered
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • Keep a record of items received and delivered
  • Load and unload goods
  • Sort packages for delivery
  • Follow directions and read maps
  • Use maps and other trip planning aids
  • Record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any problems
  • Pay and receive payments for goods
Requirements:
  • Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks, and other 2-axle vehicles)
  • Local, regional, provincial/territorial, and national transportation/travel experience
  • Criminal record check
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physically demanding work
  • Handling heavy loads
  • Overtime required
