The Eaton Corporation is seeking a Lead Test Architect to enhance our testing capabilities. This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions through robust testing methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Lead Test Architect, you will collaborate with Software Architects, Developers, and Test Specialists to:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks that adhere to the highest quality standards.
  • Gain comprehensive knowledge of systems and applications to optimize test quality and coverage.
  • Establish the strategy for manual and automated testing processes, researching and implementing tools that enhance velocity and quality.
  • Deliver testing solutions that comply with enterprise standards and operational guidelines.
  • Engage with the Scrum team to refine user stories and develop acceptance criteria, ensuring quality benchmarks are met.
  • Define and improve team processes, ensuring they are effectively communicated and adopted.
  • Architect automated testing frameworks and review associated test code.
  • Track goals and present updates during sprint meetings, ensuring technical alignment.
  • Ensure the stability of nightly deployment pipelines.
  • Create automated testing and metric reporting solutions.
  • Communicate ideas clearly and effectively to various stakeholders, including staff and management.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in developing testing solutions for embedded software or server applications.
  • Proven experience in software development using Python, Golang, or React JS.
  • Proficient with development tools and IDEs, including Eclipse and Git.
  • Experience in testing containerized applications and platform-agnostic solutions.
  • Skilled in API test automation using tools such as Postman.
  • Familiarity with test automation frameworks like Selenium.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to drive improvements.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working within Agile methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Over 10 years of experience in developing testing solutions for embedded software or server applications.
  • Familiarity with electrical industry communication protocols such as DNP3, IEC61850, or MODBUS.
  • Experience in testing Linux-based applications.
  • Experience in integrated system testing involving server-deployed applications.
  • Experience with CI/CD environments like Jenkins for executing automated tests.
  • Demonstrated experience with container runtime and orchestration platforms.
  • Knowledge of virtual machine administration.

Other Criteria:
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.
