Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled AML Senior Analyst to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our Commercial Banking group, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our business strategies and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Onboarding and Client Management: Support the collection of information from clients and various sources to assess their risk profile, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements related to KYC, AML, and other relevant laws.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Collaborate with internal partners, such as Global Risk Management and the Business Service Center, to ensure adherence to governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
  • Credit Analysis and Reporting: Provide strong organizational skills to manage significant data from multiple sources, balancing various tasks from client service administration to borrower reporting processing to credit-related support.
  • Client Solutions and Partnerships: Interact with internal and external partners, including Solicitors, Accountants, and Professional Service Providers, to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: University degree with a Finance, Accounting, or Business Specialty background, or equivalent work experience.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Strong commitment to excellent client service, strong interpersonal skills, and thorough knowledge of Onboarding, Know Your Customer, Anti-Money Laundering processes, Financial Statements, credit analysis, and credit structures.
