Job Title: Maintenance Planner

Algoma Steel is seeking a skilled Maintenance Planner to join our team in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our equipment and processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans to minimize downtime and maximize equipment availability
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure effective execution of maintenance activities
  • Manage and maintain asset physical hierarchy records within our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Ensure critical spares are available and maintained
  • Review and validate priority of incoming work requests and transfer priority ranking to skeleton work order
Requirements:
  • Minimum three (3) year Mechanical Technology diploma or equivalent experience
  • Strong technical and related trade knowledge, with a focus on equipment reliability
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge and commitment to Health, Safety, and Environmental policies
  • Strong computer skills and experience with Algoma's systems, including Microsoft Office and SAP
