As a key member of our farm operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our livestock production team, ensuring the health and well-being of our animals, and maintaining the highest standards of farm safety and bio-security.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct artificial insemination and spraying or shearing of livestock or disinfecting pens, barns or poultry houses
  • Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures
  • Maintain financial and production records
  • Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers
  • Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed
  • Maintain quality control and production records
  • Supervise and oversee breeding and other livestock-related programs
  • Hire and train staff
  • Perform general farm duties
  • Establish work schedules and procedures
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a large workload, requiring strong organizational and time management skills. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential. The work site environment is physically demanding, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking required throughout the day.

Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of farm safety and bio-security procedures
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain accurate financial and production records
