Livestock Farmhand

Bruce Farrer Farm is seeking a reliable and hardworking Livestock Labourer to join our team. As a key member of our farm staff, you will be responsible for the daily care and maintenance of our beef cattle and other livestock. This is a permanent position, working 30 to 40 hours per week. If you have a passion for working outdoors and are looking for a challenging and rewarding role, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities- Clear fields of wood and stones
- Handling animals
- Monitor the calving process
- Monitoring animal health
- Perform livestock feeding
- Treat livestock health issues
- Feed and tend animals
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
- Maintain livestock performance records
- Supervise and oversee breeding and other livestock-related programs
- Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens
- Perform general farm duties
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- or equivalent experience
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Ability to work outdoors
- Ability to relocate for this position
