Livestock Farmhand

Bruce Farrer Farm is seeking a skilled Livestock Labourer to join our team. As a key member of our farm operations, you will be responsible for maintaining the health and well-being of our livestock, ensuring the smooth operation of our farm equipment, and contributing to the overall success of our farm.
Key Responsibilities- Clear fields of wood and stones to maintain a safe working environment
- Handle and care for animals, including feeding, monitoring health, and treating any issues that may arise
- Monitor the calving process and maintain accurate records of livestock performance
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition
- Perform general farm duties, including cleaning stables, barns, and pens
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
- Will train for the role, but previous experience in the field is an asset
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and outdoors
- Availability for shift or on-call work, as required
