About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Kitchen Helper at Atlantic Kitchen St Albert. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
    • Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, adhering to our strict sanitation protocols.
    • Scour pots and pans to ensure they are spotless and ready for use.
    • Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs, following established procedures.
  • Kitchen Maintenance and Organization
    • Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment, to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
    • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas, ensuring that all items are properly labeled and stored.
    • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, adhering to our waste management procedures.
    • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Support Functions
    • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit, preparing them for use in our kitchen.
    Requirements
    • Education and Experience
      • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but a willingness to learn and train is essential.
    • Language
      • English is the primary language spoken in our kitchen, and proficiency in English is required.
    • Availability
      • 15 to 30 hours per week, with flexibility to work varying shifts.
