About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Supervisor to join our team at P GILL CONSTRUCTION LTD. as a key member of our operations team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimating and Planning: Develop and manage project estimates, including costs and materials, to ensure accurate budgeting and scheduling.
  • Team Management: Supervise and coordinate the work of 1-2 people, and up to 4 people in some cases, to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate and schedule activities with other project supervisors or managers to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and establish methods to meet work schedules while maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare production and other reports, and communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Recruitment and Training: Recruit and hire workers, and oversee apprenticeship training to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Industry Experience: Construction industry experience is essential.
  • Security Clearance: Basic security clearance is required.
  • Work Conditions: Ability to work in a dusty, noisy, and outdoors environment with tight deadlines and under pressure.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, client-focused, dependable, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, and a team player.
