About the Position

ÉTS - École de technologie supérieure is seeking a highly qualified candidate to fill the position of Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Health Technologies. This prestigious position is part of the university's Strategic Area - Health Technologies in its Strategic Research Plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct innovative research in health technologies, focusing on one of the following areas:
  • Health and safety in the workplace and in sports;
  • Diagnostic, therapeutic, and rehabilitation tools;
  • Precision medicine;
  • Artificial intelligence, enhanced reality, and connected health;
  • Optimization of healthcare system processes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Establishing research orientations and priorities in consultation with stakeholders;
  • Preparing the Institute's strategic plan for scientific programming;
  • Recruiting and supporting excellent researchers in their career development;
  • Providing scientific and administrative support for large-scale grant applications;
  • Promoting partnerships with the private sector and government bodies;
  • Supporting the valorization of research and technology transfer to user communities;
  • Representing the Institute and acting as its official spokesperson.
Requirements
  • PhD in engineering in a discipline taught or related to those taught at ÉTS;
  • Ability to teach in French, or willingness to learn the French language and engage in a French learning program offered by ÉTS;
  • Contribution to the achievement of institutional diversity and equity targets, particularly those related to designated groups within the meaning of the Equal Access to Employment Program.
