We are seeking a highly qualified candidate to fill the position of Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Health Technologies at ÉTS - École de technologie supérieure. This prestigious position is part of our Strategic Research Plan and will contribute to the mission of our new Health Technologies Research Institute.

Research Focus

The successful candidate will have a strong background in health technologies and engineering, with a focus on one of the following areas:

  • Health and safety in the workplace and in sports;
  • Diagnostic, therapeutic, and rehabilitation tools;
  • Precision medicine;
  • Artificial intelligence, enhanced reality, and connected health;
  • Optimization of healthcare system processes.
Responsibilities

The Tier 1 Canada Research Chair will be responsible for:

  • Leading a research program in health technologies and engineering;
  • Supervising graduate students and postdoctoral researchers;
  • Recruiting and training excellent trainees, students, and future researchers;
  • Contributing to the scientific direction of the Health Technologies Institute;
  • Establishing research orientations and priorities in consultation with stakeholders;
  • Preparing the Institute's strategic plan for scientific programming.
Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must:

  • Hold a PhD in engineering in a discipline taught or related to those taught at ÉTS;
  • Have the ability to teach in French, or demonstrate a willingness to learn the French language and engage in a French learning program offered by ÉTS;
  • Meet the eligibility criteria for the Canada Research Chairs Program.
