About the Position

ÉTS - École de technologie supérieure is seeking a distinguished researcher to fill a Tier 1 Canada Research Chair position in the Natural Sciences and Engineering (NSERC) program. This prestigious position is part of our Strategic Area - Health Technologies in our Strategic Research Plan, and will contribute to the mission of a new Health Technologies Research Institute.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct innovative research in Health Technologies, addressing one of the following areas: Health and safety in the workplace and in sports, Diagnostic, therapeutic and rehabilitation tools, Precision medicine, Artificial intelligence, enhanced reality and connected health, Optimization of healthcare system processes.
  • Develop and lead a research program of the highest quality, with a focus on excellence and equity.
  • Supervise and mentor graduate students and postdoctoral researchers, promoting their career development and research excellence.
  • Collaborate with industry partners, government agencies, and other stakeholders to advance Health Technologies research and its applications.
  • Contribute to the scientific direction of the Health Technologies Institute, establishing research orientations and priorities, and preparing the Institute's strategic plan for scientific programming.
Requirements
  • PhD in engineering in a discipline taught or related to those taught at ÉTS.
  • Ability to teach in French, or willingness to learn the French language and engage in a French learning program offered by ÉTS.
  • Experience in research leadership, with a strong track record of innovation and excellence.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
