About the Position

ÉTS - École de technologie supérieure is seeking a highly qualified candidate to fill the position of Canada Research Chair in Health Technologies. This is a Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Natural Sciences and Engineering, with a focus on Health and Well-being.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will hold a regular, full-time faculty position at ÉTS and will be responsible for leading research in the area of Health Technologies. The Chairholder will be expected to establish research orientations and priorities in consultation with stakeholders, and to prepare the Institute's strategic plan for scientific programming.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish research orientations and priorities in consultation with stakeholders
  • Prepare the Institute's strategic plan for scientific programming
  • Recruit and supervise graduate students and postdoctoral researchers
  • Develop and implement research projects in the area of Health Technologies
  • Collaborate with industry partners and government agencies to advance research and innovation
  • Represent the Institute and act as its official spokesperson
Requirements
  • PhD in engineering in a discipline taught or related to those taught at ÉTS
  • Ability to teach in French, or willingness to learn the French language and engage in a French learning program offered by ÉTS
  • Experience in leading research teams and developing research projects
  • Strong track record of publications and research funding
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
