Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Support Associate to join our team at City Pharmacy.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

As a Medical Support Associate, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring accuracy of prescription information
  • Assisting pharmacists with daily tasks
  • Maintaining accurate records of prescriptions and medications
  • Preparing medications for clients
  • Setting up and dismantling equipment as needed
  • Supervising and directing activities of other medical staff
  • Applying and adjusting casts, splints, and bandages
  • Cleaning and maintaining equipment to ensure sterility
  • Helping with scheduling and workflow
  • Preparing and maintaining equipment and supplies
  • Operating and maintaining sterilization equipment and instrumentation
  • Billing third-party insurers
  • Compounding oral solutions, ointments, and creams
  • Assisting dietitians with research in food, nutrition, and food service systems
  • Cleaning and restoring ocular prostheses
  • Interpreting physician specifications
  • Advising patients on loss of depth perception
  • Repairing and maintaining fabrication and laboratory equipment
  • Ordering supplies and equipment as needed
  • Scheduling and confirming appointments

About the Role

This is a permanent position working 35 hours per week.

Estimated Salary Range: $40,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.

Language of Work: English.

Education: College or CEGEP diploma from a program of 1-2 years.

Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year.
