At Family Care Pharmacy Ltd, we are seeking a highly skilled Medical Support Specialist to join our team. This is a permanent full-time position offering 40 hours of work per week with an estimated annual salary of $35,000-$50,000 depending on experience and qualifications.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide medical support to healthcare professionals in a fast-paced environment, performing tasks such as setting up and dismantling equipment, cleaning and maintaining equipment, and compounding, packaging and labeling pharmaceutical products.

  • This role involves working in a pharmacy setting, assisting with scheduling and workflow, preparing and maintaining equipment and supplies, and maintaining inventories of medications and prescription records.
  • You will also be responsible for ordering supplies and equipment, organizing and maintaining inventory, and scheduling and confirming appointments.
Key Responsibilities
  • Compound, package and label pharmaceutical products according to established procedures and protocols.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory levels, prescriptions, and medication supplies.
  • Assist healthcare professionals with patient care and administrative tasks as needed.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Stay organized and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and maintain productivity.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate required; post-secondary education or training preferred.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant experience in a pharmacy or related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Valid certification or training in areas such as pharmacy operations, customer service, or inventory management an asset.
