About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpentry Specialist to join our team at KS Concrete Cutting & Coring Ltd.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and Interpret Blueprints: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and ensure compliance with building codes.
  • Prepare and Construct Building Components: Prepare layouts, measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Fabricate and Install Building Features: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to ensure a safe and secure building environment.
  • Maintain a Safe Work Environment: Ensure a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and guidelines, and reporting any hazards or incidents to management.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the construction industry.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in confined spaces, noisy environments, and dusty conditions.
  • Work Setting: Experience working in construction settings, including building sites and workshops.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to perform tasks that require bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads, and working in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking positions.
