Key Responsibilities:

  • Vehicle Operation: Operate straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Load and Unload Goods: Load and unload goods safely and efficiently, ensuring accurate documentation and inventory management.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct regular vehicle inspections, ensuring all equipment is in good working condition, and reporting any issues to the maintenance team.
  • Communication: Maintain regular communication with central dispatch, receiving and relaying information as needed.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
Requirements:
  • Certifications: Possess a valid AZ class license, Air Brakes Endorsement, and Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks).
  • Communication Systems: Operate GPS and other navigation equipment, ensuring accurate route planning and navigation.
  • Transportation Experience: Possess experience in local, long-haul, and provincial/territorial transportation, with a valid driver's license and willingness to travel cross-border.
  • Security and Safety: Possess a valid passport, driving record check (abstract), and a valid driver's license.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to sit for extended periods, with a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
