Job Title: Truck Driver

Peel Logistics Inc. is seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a commercial vehicle to transport goods and materials across various routes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Mountain Driving Expertise: Demonstrate expertise in driving on mountainous terrain, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of goods.
  • Vehicle Operation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all safety regulations.
  • Load and Unload Goods: Load and unload goods safely and efficiently, ensuring accurate cargo information and documentation.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the vehicle's condition, including tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage equipment.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Requirements:
  • Certifications: Possess a valid AZ class license, Air Brakes Endorsement, and Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks).
  • Communication Systems: Operate GPS and other navigation equipment, ensuring efficient route planning and execution.
  • Transportation Experience: Possess experience in local, long-haul, and provincial/territorial transportation.
  • Security and Safety: Hold a valid passport, driving record check (abstract), and a valid driver's license.
  • Work Conditions: Willing to travel cross-border, extended periods, and overnight.
