Job Title: Truck Driver

Peel Logistics Inc. is seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials across various routes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Mountain Driving Expertise: Demonstrate expertise in driving on mountainous terrain, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of goods.
  • Load and Unload Goods: Load and unload goods from the truck, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Operate and Maintain Vehicle: Operate and maintain the vehicle, including performing pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections.
  • Oversee Condition of Vehicle: Regularly inspect the vehicle's condition, including tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Pay and Receive Payments: Handle payments for goods, including receiving and processing payments.
  • Record Cargo Information: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Requirements:
  • AZ Class License: Possess a valid AZ class license.
  • Air Brakes Endorsement: Hold an Air Brakes Endorsement.
  • Class 1/1F/A License: Possess a Class 1/1F/A license for semi-trailer trucks.
  • Valid Passport: Hold a valid passport.
  • Driving Record Check: Pass a driving record check.
  • Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • Sitting: Spend extended periods sitting while driving.
Experience:
  • Experience an Asset: Previous experience as a truck driver is an asset.
  • Permanent Position: This is a permanent position.
  • English Language: The primary language of work is English.
  • Hours of Work: Work 35 to 40 hours per week.
