Regional Operations Manager

Job Overview:
Alpine is seeking a highly skilled Area Manager to oversee multiple sites, a portfolio, or a territory, and manage employees or subcontractors directly or indirectly. The ideal candidate will be the face of the company and the first point of contact for all clients regarding operations, escalations, and work orders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Subcontractor Management: Ensure subcontractors are compliant with requirements such as security clearances, GST, business licensing, WCB, liability insurance, etc
- Client Relations Management: Liaise with clients to ensure performance standards are met and complaints are addressed
- Expense Management: Oversees or coordinates equipment repairs and ensures subcontractor hours are in line with budget
- Conducts periodic audits or site inspections to ensure that work is completed as required
Working Conditions:
The Area Manager will require flexibility in shift times, as interaction with night cleaning crew will also be required. Must be fully vaccinated and be able to obtain CPIC clearance. Frequent travel within a geographic region is required. Must have valid drivers license with clean driving abstract.
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of janitorial experience in the grocery industry (stripping, waxing, scheduling etc.)
- Management experience in a fast paced environment dealing with a very diverse work force
- Excellent client relationship skills
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and other programs to produce reports and trends and results for the account
- Excellent communications and change management skills
- Ability to create programs and tasks to further the offering to the client, as well as the organizational skills to execute such programs
- Ability to travel on an active schedule as well being available for any immediate issues that may arise
- Ability to identify positive and negative trends and apply problem-solving skills to resolve issues
- Professional approach to the client and the diverse work force in the industry
