Business Development Specialist Burnaby Board of Trade

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Specialist to join our team at the Burnaby Board of Trade. As a key member of our sales team, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and expansion by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive Business Growth: Achieve and exceed sales targets by promoting and selling our services to businesses across various industries.
  • Prospect and Engage: Identify and connect with potential clients through cold calling, online research, networking events, and face-to-face meetings.
  • Build Relationships: Cultivate strong relationships with new and existing clients to support retention and lead generation efforts.
  • Maximize Outreach: Organize your time effectively to reach as many prospects as possible each day, across various industries and sizes of businesses.
  • Report and Analyze: Prepare and present regular sales reports, providing insights on your progress and identifying areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Sales Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in sales, particularly in selling intangibles, is preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills that enable you to connect with a diverse range of businesses.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work outside standard hours to attend networking events and generate leads.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
  • Mobility: A valid driver's license and access to your own vehicle are essential.

  • Competitive base salary with uncapped commission potential (total expected package: $50-70k).
