About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our team at 2671859 Ontario Inc. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Cash Register: Accurately process transactions, handle customer payments, and maintain a clean and organized cash handling area.
  • Process Payments: Handle cash, cheques, and credit/debit card payments, and reconcile daily/shift payments with total sales.
  • Stock Shelves and Maintain Store Appearance: Restock shelves, clean the counter area, and maintain a visually appealing store environment.
  • Provide Customer Service: Greet customers, respond to inquiries, and resolve customer complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Monitor Store Operations: Monitor all entrances and exits, request proof of payment when necessary, and verify the age of customers when selling restricted products.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

This is a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure. You will be required to stand for extended periods, handle heavy loads, and work a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months
  • Language: English
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week
