Job Title: Pharmacy Technical Assistant

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technical Assistant to join our team at Dawson Creek Clinic Pharmacy. As a Pharmacy Technical Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the accuracy of prescription information
  • Enter client information into our database system
  • Provide support to our pharmacists in their daily tasks
  • Maintain inventory levels of medications and pharmaceutical products
  • Prepare medications for clients and maintain prescription records
  • Clean and maintain equipment to ensure a safe and efficient working environment
  • Compound, package, and label pharmaceutical products as required
  • Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies to ensure a smooth operation of the pharmacy
  • Bill third-party insurers for services rendered
  • Perform general clerical duties to support the pharmacy team
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • 2 years of experience in a pharmacy setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in tasks
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Work Environment:

Our pharmacy is a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure. As a Pharmacy Technical Assistant, you will be required to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, and kneel as needed. You will also be required to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
