About the Job

This role involves managing contracts related to shipping, chartering, and other marine services to ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and legal requirements. You will work closely with different departments, including Commercial, Operations, and Operational Risk Management, and report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and review contracts to ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and legal requirements.
  • Liaise with external legal counsel and insurance brokers on contract-related legal issues.
  • Maintain a centralized repository for all contracts, tracking key deadlines, renewals, and amendments.
  • Communicate key updates to the executive team regarding contract status and legal risks or developments.
Claims Handling and Incident Reporting:
  • Work closely with internal teams to gather incident details and submit accurate reports to regulatory bodies, insurers, and legal counsel.
  • Manage documentation and reporting of incidents, including marine-related accidents, property damage, and liability claims.
  • Liaise with insurance brokers to submit and track claims, ensuring prompt processing and resolution.
Requirements:

We are looking for a candidate with 5-7 years of experience in contract management, preferably in the marine, insurance, or legal sectors. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of maritime operations, insurance regulations, claims handling, and incident reporting processes. A bachelor's degree in business, law, or a related field (paralegal) is required.

What We Offer:

McKeil Marine offers a very competitive total compensation package, which includes a salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
