Design Leadership Opportunity

Welcome to Kasian Architecture Interior Design and Planning, where we strive to create built environments that inspire and improve lives. We are seeking a motivated and passionate Senior Designer to complement our Vancouver office, where we are involved in exciting work across a range of building types.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a design leader who can provide expertise in healthcare design and oversee the entire design process or assist as a technical expert on specialized design. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent time management and teamwork skills, and effective written and oral communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with the Project Manager to create work plans, drawing lists, scope of services, budgets, and staffing requirements
  • Lead the Kasian design process through the creation of design concepts, generation of presentation material, and required submission documentation
  • Provide guidance to the design team and implement design standards and guidelines
  • Lead project meetings and client presentations, or co-chair with Project Manager/Project Director
  • Interact with clients on a broad range of sensitive administrative and management issues
Requirements
  • Arch or M. Arch from an accredited architectural program coupled with a minimum of 10+ years of architectural experience; 5 years minimum in healthcare projects
  • Registration with a provincial regulatory board an asset
  • Strong technical background and software skills, Revit is considered an asset
  • Excellent time management and teamwork skills, and effective written and oral communication skills
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary starting at $83,000 + per annum, based on a 40-hour work week. Actual compensation is subject to variations due to education, experience, and skill set.
