Senior Designer Opportunity at Kasian Architecture Interior Design and Planning Ltd

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Designer to join our team at Kasian Architecture Interior Design and Planning Ltd. As a Senior Designer, you will be responsible for providing design leadership on various projects, overseeing the entire design process, and acting as a technical expert on specialized design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide design leadership on various projects, including commercial, mixed-use, retail, industrial, hospitality, public buildings, and healthcare.
  • Oversee the entire design process, from conceptual design to project delivery.
  • Act as a technical expert on specialized design and provide guidance to the design team.
  • Lead project meetings and client presentations, or co-chair with Project Manager/Project Director.
  • Interact with clients on a broad range of sensitive administrative and management issues.
  • Work with authorities having jurisdiction to interpret and conform to codes and bylaws.

Requirements:

  • Arch or M. Arch from an accredited architectural program coupled with a minimum of 10+ years of architectural experience; 5 years minimum in healthcare projects.
  • Registration with a provincial regulatory board an asset.
  • Capable of providing leadership in design.
  • Strong technical background.
  • Strong software skills, Revit is considered an asset.
  • Excellent time management and teamwork skills.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Detailed knowledge of applicable building codes and by-laws.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction practices.

What We Offer:

  • Salary starts at $83,000 + per annum, based on a 40-hour work week.
  • Actual compensation is subject to variations due to education, experience, and skill set.
