2K Games is seeking a highly skilled Technical Art Director to lead our team of Technical Artists in the development of world-class games. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring project quality, team well-being, and providing high-quality tools, technology, and processes needed to build content for our games.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Technical Art team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality assets and tools.
  • Build and maintain a world-class Technical Art team, providing opportunities for growth and development.
  • Collaborate with Art and Engineering teams to drive research and identify new workflows, technologies, and pipelines.
  • Establish and implement naming conventions, standards, and metrics for budgeting and supervising technical art tasks.
  • Partner with the engineering team to ensure build stability and memory and performance budgets.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in the games, film, or animation industries.
  • Previous experience leading technical art teams and shipping at least 2 AAA titles in a leadership position.
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Strong Unreal 5 experience and fluency in Maya and Python.
  • Experience with cloth and rigid/soft body physics setup for characters, including collision volumes.
  • Ability to turn creative aspirations into achievable realities.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $192,000 to $295,000 CAD per year, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, financial, and other benefits.
