Job Summary

The Field Service Engineer is a critical role within Corvus Energy, responsible for overseeing the installation and commissioning of large-scale complex Energy Storage Systems at customer sites. This position requires a high level of technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Commissioning: Install and commission Corvus Energy Storage Systems at customer sites, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to company standards.
  • Site Supervision: Supervise installation and commissioning activities at customer sites, providing support to on-site teams and ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate on-site activities with shipyard, system integrator, service provider, and internal Corvus personnel to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Quality Assurance: Inspect the quality of installation and provide approval for the next phase of the installation process, working closely with the Service Manager and Project Manager.
  • Technical Support: Provide remote support to customers, guiding and assisting them with troubleshooting, diagnosis, repair, and resolution of customer issues.
  • Documentation: Create and update customer-facing documentation related to installation, operation, testing, rework, and diagnostics of Corvus Energy Storage Systems.
  • Training and Development: Provide technical training to customers regarding system installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and operation, as well as participate in the development of Service Engineering Training Programs for new product introductions.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree or Diploma in Electrical/Electronic or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of practical work experience in a Service Engineering environment, preferably in marine electronics.
  • Skills: Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, high level of computer literacy, professional English skills, and excellent customer relations, organization, multi-tasking, and communication skills.
Assets
  • Marine Industry Experience: Experience in the marine industry and knowledge of ship systems (electrical & mechanical) is an asset.
  • Lithium-Ion Battery Technology: Experience with lithium-ion battery technology and systems is an asset.
  • Clean Energy Technologies: Interest in clean energy technologies is an asset.
